New Employee Orientation Best Practices

New Employee Orientation Best Practices

As economic growth continues and employment dips to levels not seen since the 1960’s, companies are having a harder time finding and retaining employees. As the pressure to fill positions mounts, some companies are struggling with new hire selection, orientation, and having less time to train these hires. The results have been a higher percentage of injuries (40%) to employees in year one including an increase in severity incidents. We will look at how to use Knowledge, Competence, Resources, Audit, and Feedback to increase employee knowledge and safe work methods leading to better outcomes.
